Is that a G600?…or a G500? Maybe a G650?

I’ve had my share of struggles identifying a Gulfstream on the ramp. I’ve even gotten it wrong when the aircraft model was painted on the tail! I decided it was time for some side-by-side comparison:

G500 Specs:

  • Cabin Length (excluding baggage): 41 feet, 6 inches / Width: 7 feet, 7 inches / Height: 6 feet, 2 inches

  • Exterior Length: 91 feet 2 inches / Wingspan: 87 feet, 1 inch / Height: 25 feet, 6 inches

  • Range: 5,300 nm range

What to look for:

  • Thee cabin windows before the emergency exits

  • The first cabin window is much closer to the Main Entrance Door than the G600’s

G600 Specs:

  • Cabin Length (excluding baggage): 45 feet, 2 inches / Width: 7 feet, 7 inches / Height: 6 feet, 2 inches

  • Exterior Length: 96 feet, 1 inch / Wingspan: 95 feet / Height: 25 feet, 3 inches

  • Range: 6,600 nm range

What to look for:

  • Thee cabin windows before the emergency exits, however

  • The first cabin window is further from the Main Entrance Door than the G500’s

G650/G650ER Specs:

  • Cabin Length (excluding baggage): 46 feet,10 inches / Width: 8 feet, 2 inches / Height: 6 feet, 3 inches

  • Exterior Length: 99 feet, 9 inches / Wingspan: 99 feet, 7 inches / Height: 25 feet, 8 inches

  • Range: G650 - 7,000 nm range / G650ER - 7,500 nm range

What to look for:

  • Four cabin windows before the emergency exits
